Bass Yakker Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Tuesday I got all excited about the warm weather and took my yak out on Lake Springfield and flipped it over. Thankfully I made it out ok (did it in really shallow water) and was able to make it back to shore in the yak. Hopefully someone else can learn from my mistakes. If it's windy, don't go out on a kayak. Don't try and anchor when it's windy. Use quality ziploc bags and triple bag electronics or use a dry bag. Don't get so excited that you forget common sense. A fish is not worth dying over. MOPanfisher, Royal Blue, BilletHead and 3 others 6
Flysmallie Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 So you caught a fish? Be careful out there. Warm air does not equal warm water. Bass Yakker 1
Bass Yakker Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 No fish Correct. Thankfully the water and air were not colder. There were some places on Lake Springfield that still had ice on them. It could have been a lot worse!
