yep, it is nice to just put in where you want, when you want when possible, and just enjoy the day.  you can put the hammer to them when the bite is on and not have to catch one and leave to save them for a tournament and they they are not there by the time you need them, lol.

You said a lot right there, bo.

Nice report Champ. Nice chub spot there as well.

Photo doesn't really tell the tale.  It was a good 5lbs and had the entire jerkbait in her mouth sideways.  I "hugged" her in the boat to avoid sticking my hand in that mouthful of trebles.  Lol

If you had MLF scales you would know exact weight?

I have just a regular 25lb Berkley digital scale. Thing is pretty dang accurate for a cheapy $25 digital scale. I actually saw your comment about your MLF style scale a few weeks back and bought a Fish Grip Jr on Ebay to use with my scale. It's a pain in the rear to use the metal hook through the gills (don't like doing) and/or punching a hole threw their bottom lip (which I DON'T do). No need to put more holes in them. That gripper looks like the ticket for ease of use, friendlier on the fish and more secure if they flop around. So thanks for that tip Sore Thumbs.

Yes. They work great. We used it this weekend. My buddy weighed a 2.65lb LM and chose to speak like Morizo Shimizu when he said "Agree" . Pretty funny.

Did you respond like Dave Mercer..."Still lookin' for BIG MAMA".

I would bet anything short of my life that the fish weighed 4 1/2 pounds. Was really fat and full of eggs and the guy holding it is 6-4 and a little north of 400 lbs. We have a pretty decent digital scale in the boat and I would've weighed it except I was fighting the wind on the TM, trying to get her unhooked for a couple of pics and just not paying attention to the fish. It wasn't until I got home and looked close at the pic that I realized it was a spot.
