I'm in the same boat Dan. Been searching the forums for any kind of direction to find some eyes. I went to fellows lake on the 11th to find some prespawn walleye and only caught 1. It was a nice one though a 22in female. I also hauled in my first 2 musky one over 40". I'm heading to Stockton tomorrow to try to find some.

Haven't really targeted eyes but went the other and caught this one just under 22 inches and another just under 20.  Only 2 hits I had in 2 and a half hours of fishing.FB_IMG_1488105092328.jpg

Nice looking fish, they can be finicky. Some day I am going to bring an underwater camera just to see how many pass the bait.

Put in at Hawker today. I noticed a bunch of birds diving in the cove just to the left of the boat launch. It turned out to be the biggest school of shad I've ever seen. the school was about 60 ft wide 400ft long and covered from top to bottom in 40ft of water. I thought maybe I'd get into some whites feeding on them but only came up with catfish. The school was so dense that when I through any type of crank bait through the school I would snag 2-4 shad.

They have been in there tor weeks. It is hard to catch them when they live in the bait shop. I think all those coves are filled with shad...no wonder I can't find fish.
