Al Agnew met me at the craw shack this morning at 8:30 and we put in at the closest ramp possible. We ran down river to below the next ramp down several miles.  Long story short the fish were in a classic prespawn pattern and also in their classic winter holes   So I think you can guess it was a weird bite   Nonetheless we didn't catch a lot of fish but the fish Al did catch were almost all nice and several were better than nice   I caught one little largemouth ?

I had the drum pattern working pretty good, too.

A couple weeks ago when Zipstick and I were fishing, he had a dozen fish in the boat before I caught my first one, so I gotta admit it was nice being on the other end of that situation today :)

Still wondering how big that fish was that took the craw and hung me up in the logs.  (And whether or not it was another drum.)

It was a epic battle, till it went deep into the wood.  I hate to think it was a 5 lber.  I honestly think that though.   He was in the right spot and his buddies were there too.

Aaron needs to go fish with Tommy. He'll show you how to winch those bigguns up out of the trees!

"it went deep into the wood" = Big Bass.

Looks like the river has a little color.
