Today I fished closer to Holiday Island. Colin has not opened the marina yet, and boat gas must be toted to the boat on the beach. I face that chore the next time I plan to go out.

I caught 11 mixed bass with 4 near keepers, but no actual keepers. Again, one on the wart and the rest on a PBJ Ned. By the afternoon, the wind dictated a switch to the 1/8th oz. head. Today, I had the feeling there may have been a better pattern, but I could not find it.

Water temp was up to 57.

Thanks for the report....I might go to Big M tomorrow and aerate the water a little.

I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything!

Sounds like my day today. Fished 4 hours out of Cape. Wart, RC, and Ned. My only fish came on the Ned.  It was 3 pounds but man what a long 4 hours.  I ran down and thru the snaggers, which were out in hoards. That wont happen again.

This lake will sure fool ya that's for sure RPS. It appears to me that the slightly sloping banks are out of the water and the banks now drop off much more. Making it a bit of a challenge using the wobble head today and keeping contact on the bottom, I went with a heavier head to help stay in contact on the bottom, just trying to finding the right banks along with dodging all the trees out of the water.

i fished up your way about a week ago and caught a bunch of short bass, but had two 4 to 5 lb. walleye.  both walleye came off similar stuff.  i followed the channel ends out into the lake to where there was about 4 to 5 feet of water on top of the roll off and it was a mud bottom.  the edge needed to go quickly into 9 to 10 feet.  you could most likely still run that same pattern for these staging walleye.

forgot to mention that i have been catching everything on Iovino's zoner crankbait.  if a wiggle wart catches them better, i have not been able to tell that it does.
