I guess they figured if you were buying one, you may as well be able to buy one without the transducer to right next to it for mapping. I know a lot of guys that constantly gripe about how expensive boats are but a lot of them don't ever seem to factor in the cost of electronics and motors - both outboard and trollers. Boats are really kinda like airplanes in that both are really pretty cheap until you start factoring in electronics and engines. I would guess that most new 20 foot and up bass boats also include at least 30K in that kind of stuff. Heck, I saw somewhere that the WHEELS my trailer go for a thousand bucks! Just think of all the guys that will have THREE of these new Lowrance units installed on their boats - over 15K right there alone. Almost makes me feel at least a little bit less stupid for having spent 70K on my Z521. Everything in life is just a matter of perspective I guess. Seth and magicwormman 2 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." George Carlin "The only money ever wasted is money never spent." Me.
