Very cool, great job ! We found some suspended 45 ft in 75 ft of water, they were deep up north. I guess I am buying an a rig.

I like it. Nice job! I knew exactly where you were before you even said. I have fished that area a bunch over the years. Always been a lot of whites and walleye around there.

Thanks for posting DB, headed to Stockton Sunday after church for a few days of walleye and crappie fishing and just might throw in my umbrella rigs and catch of few whites.   Looked like a great deal of fun.

Fished Stockton yesterday and today. Caught 3 keeper  LM and maybe 10 shorts yesterday but no Whites despite doing my best. went today armed with an A rig. No thirty minute limit but did put a limit in the boat and threw a few back. Only caught 2 that weren't near the 2 # class.  Tried jigging spoon, swimbait, spinnerbait, crankbait, roadrunner.None of these would produce in the same areas I was catching them with the A rig. I had 1 A rig without blades but I went to BP on the way and picked up one with blades. Also I started with 4"swimbaits and got a lot of misses. Put a 3" on the terminal bait and did better.. Like most everyone I have resisited throwing the A word. It is not a simple throw and retrieve, not to mention the effort that is required.

As usual with fishing, it's always right time and right place...  After I caught my limit that day I continued to catch them on the A rig to cull a couple of shorter fish but also experimented with a rattle trap and wiggle wart.  Caught fish on both but neither produced like the rig.  I met a couple of guys at the ramp putting in who don't fish much so I told them what's up and they were catching them on crappie minnows too.  My best suggestion would be to find channel banks on the "hiway" to their spawning grounds and look for fish on the graph near the bank in 10 to 30 fow. Fish near the bottom as slow as feasible with some kind of minnow bait.  Good luck!

Is this fun or what!
