Jerk bait, wiggle wart still on?

Water temp 55 or so near the dam, only fished for about two hours but didn't do too hot. Tried Ned, jerkbait and wart, only caught two fish. One fish (decent 2# spot on jerk)and small smallie on "new" wart. Threw the ned a lot and not any action. Granted we were working main lake points,so maybe the good action would be starting to work in the cuts/coves pre spawn. Had boat troubles and had to cut it short, but should a guy be hitting coves/spawning areas or stick with main lake stuff?

I can't speak for how fishing is on that end of the lake, but there are definitely fish in the coves up the White river.

I've been catching them inside the coves on secondary points in the dam area.
