There are some great tips on YouTube on how to make your own, if you want easy store bought lights be ready to spend about $180 for a good one big enough to bring them in. Don't waste your time with a $20 set up. I spent about $40 on Amazon and put together a light that would have been $180 at Cabela's but be sure to add about a lb of lead to get them to sink. It is really hard to see what is gathering on top if the light is floating.

Stump I feel like I've asked you before or someone on here about those lights before. But which ones did you buy? There are so many variations of led lights it's mind boggling. Same with youtube vids, so many different ways to make the lights. Is there a particular video that you watched you could recommend?

I would recommend the 5050 lights instead of the ones he uses and to get the wire to seal I used a spray can of Plastic coat I bought at Lowes. The wires I used were trailer wires from a kit that came with new trailer lights.

We went to lake fort smith during the last full moon, before the rain. I am familiar with that white bass run and was able to locate large numbers. On a fly rod. Also has anyone else caught a walleye from lake ft smith?

I have not fished Ft Smith in several years.  AGFC has been stocking walleye fingerlings there - looks like you found one that grew up.

I know they say the mercury levels are safe but I'd not take a chance on eating fish from Ft Smith.  They had a bad scare with mercury levels a few years back. That and it's a long drive down pulling a boat.  Lots of gas for that trip towing up and down hills.

Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message.

He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!

Yeah just a bit outside my range.  Not too mention I'd have to pull my boat past all the construction going on the interstate.  Pretty lake however, I'd fish it some if it was closer.

Are we talking about the Lake Fort Smith in Arkansas? It's only 70 miles from Bella Vista ... closer from all points south.
