Well, we are picking up the condo and headed out this morning. Little C is disappointed but maybe a tenderloin at Smiths in Boliver will help. You all take care and hope to be back very soon.

That's too bad. Can't say as I blame you though.

I'm still fighting the good fight to stay till tomorrow but we'll see I guess.

I'm coming back down with my brother a week from tomorrow so either way that takes a lot of the sting out of leaving for me I guess.

Glad you had such great success while you were here and thanks for the many great reports.

I for one definitely benefited from them.

Well, I got my way (alert the media) and we stayed. Fishing was still pretty dang strong although it seemed like I had more lulls than the previous days. Lots of smallmouth again but the size was a tad smaller than all the other days as well and only had five keepers and none were over sixteen inches.

The Ranger is now loaded and covered in anticipation of tomorrow morning's departure. Although (as I knew I would) I now wish we'd have beat feet earlier and got home before the storms.

Even when I'm right I'm wrong.

Nonetheless, it was a great week with outstanding fishing throughout.

While I'd normally already be getting excited about coming back next Saturday, the impending rain/flood event has certainly taken the edge off.

Whether or not the lake is even fishable by then is the least of my concerns. I'm really worried about all of the great people that live down here that make trips like this possible.

Like many others, I'll be following the events of the next couple of days very closely and all of you will be in my thoughts throughout the weekend.

Stay safe and I will be hoping for the best for all of you.

See you again next week.
