Members dookie65 Posted May 1, 2017 Members Posted May 1, 2017 Appreciate any opinions/advice on what you think conditions might be like around Little Aunt's Creek and Aunt's Creek come Fri/ Sat5-4-17 We are supposed to fish a small buddy tournament this Saturday. We are coming down on Thursday afternoon and staying until Sunday. There are so many different on some of the other threads, it's hard to tell what's good advice and what's not. I'm more concerned about debris and safety., Also wondering what you guys will think the fishing will be like? I'm assuming the shallow bite should be good. I have fished the lake several times but only get to fish it about once a year so my knowledge of the lake is limited. I appreciate any info and advice anyone might have. I just don't want to make the trip down and not be able to fish if conditions are that bad. Thanks in advance!! Ken
176champion Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Last i heard it was under water and they had road closed.....maybe someone from around there will chime in...also COE has cancelled most of the tournaments so far, so you may want to check with someone. dookie65 and crazy4fishin 2 I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! willyfish Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Just use common sense. You can't go flying around wide open. Slow and easy and even idle speed at times. If you can get to the bank I would try that first with a spinnerbait I would think. Who knows though, until it somewhat stabilizes it's anyone's guess. dookie65 1
Members JerryK Posted May 1, 2017 Members Posted May 1, 2017 Conditions are very bad. Lot's of debris. It looks like the water is receding a little. The lake is up 20 feet in about a week. dookie65 1

The parking lot is probably under water. For the next few days you probably wont find an open ramp unless it's one that is really steep or very long, like Cow Creek. dookie65 1
Members dookie65 Posted May 4, 2017 Author Members Posted May 4, 2017 Well, after much debate we decided to go for it and are heading down tomorrow; A few of the guys that made it down today and fished said they caught several bass over 3 pounds and said the bite was good!! I'm hoping we can get into em on Friday. Thanks to those who replied, much appreciated! vernon and crazy4fishin 2
Ellros Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Going to be at least a week before I can even get to my boat The water where the actual walkway begins is almost 10 feet deep.
