Dang guys..... Don't tell everyone my secrets to fishing Bennett or anywhere else that there are fish.  LOL

i always fish my way to where I wade.    Sometimes I never make it past ankle deep.  The murky water sure messes up people that can't see the fish.

I have no secrets.   Just fish slong side me and I'll teach you how to catch fish.  Just don't blame me if your reaction time isn't quick enough to set the hook without breaking the line. ?

Water at Bennet access looked fine. Think we will float tomorrow. Did not go into the park, but sure it is fine too.

Anytime you can float /fish the river without the frat rat weekend crowd is nice. I have caught some nice rainbows short trolling behind the canoe. I let the front fish and I just steer, back paddle, keep us out of strainers etc.    Little Mepps spinners,plastics or crank baits will always get bit.  Just keep a loose drag and remember boat first!

I called out a lady at Rim Shoals a few years ago who was just kicking up a storm.  She yelled back "It's just my way!"

Seen it more and more at the trout parks too. Actually seen a 14-16 year old kid kicking up stuff and just scooping up fish with the net because he couldn't catch them with a rod.   His parents were right there just laughing about it. ??

Was at Bennet on Tuesday.  Water was murky and fast but fishable.  Few fish being caught.  Seen probably 20 water snakes. They were everywhere and wouldn't move even when you tapped them on the head!  I got to wondering if all the snakes wasn't affecting the fish in a negative way?  They might have been feeling like prey instead of predator with all the snakes in the water!
