Fabulous day

I took my nephew fishing today on the Middle Meramec, and he caught two 19" smallies.  What is more, I landed a 18" and 20" smallmouth.  Photos of mine are below, and his are in the next post (I couldn't get all four pictures to upload at once).

Nice fish guys.  I bought a new pedal kayak so I could fish more of the Meramec.  I'm in St. Louis so I put in at Pacific Palisades - the current was running pretty fast there today, but I was thinking about hitting some areas further up like near the Chouteau Claim, River Round or Bruns Bridge - has anyone been fishing it lately - how is the current moving?
