Lot of dead fish around ramp..we rode a jet ski for a bit...fished for about half hour about 5...caught one on drop shot...one on Ned...and I missed one on crig... Cloudy...right now...feels good cheesemaster and Quillback 2
wily Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 We're thinking about dropping a green light down tonight...anybody have a spot close? Thinking about going straight across from ramp on that bluff end...opposite side of lake

wily Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Largemouth...we went half way to Baxter..and fished a gravel point...turned the lights on and fished for an hour...should've stayed longer but one boy wanted to come in...we caught 10 or 12...mostly smallmouth and kentuckies...couple goggle eyes and one nice bluegill...nice night for it cheesemaster 1
Quillback Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Good to hear you got into some. Shame about the dead bass, probably rode around in a livewell too long in this hot weather. cheesemaster 1
Champ188 Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 When it gets lizard hot, shallow areas like the Campbell Point ramp lose all of their oxygen, so "releasing" them there is no better than tossing them on the ground in the parking lot. And they're already stressed from the livewell/weigh-in experience. It all adds up to a death sentence. Quillback, vernon and magicwormman 3
