Is it me or does it seem like there are a bunch more accidents on the lake this year?

That list is disturbing especially how many times LOZ appears.

His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974

I don't remember where I saw it but there was an article which stated that in North America only the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Erie were more dangerous than LOZ.

While looking at the link to the MO. Water Patrol Reports that I posted I noticed an old friend involved in an incident. After a couple of phone calls I found he was night fishing the dam area early Sunday AM. Apparently a storm came up and while he was heading in, dealing with rain and wind he hit a breakwater. My point is that it can happen to anyone, even experienced and responsible boaters. Everybody stay safe out there and beware the idiots.

WOW!  Just seems like every weekend, there's been a couple of reports.  It's not going to get any better.

Looks like they were about to meet head on and the boat banked hard assumably to avoid a collision and the pwc hit it.  Or the boat driver decided to cut in front of the pwc to throw a bigger wave and the timing was off.  Be interested to know what went on.  In my opinion there are too many people that own and/or operate boats that have no real idea what they are doing.
