WHARFRAT Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Is it me or does it seem like there are a bunch more accidents on the lake this year? @lozcrappie
Bushbeater Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 It sure appears there are more idiots boating more stupidly than ever.https://www.mshp.dps.missouri.gov/WP03/search.jsp Greasy B and skeeter 1 1
Greasy B Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 That list is disturbing especially how many times LOZ appears. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
Dutch Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 I don't remember where I saw it but there was an article which stated that in North America only the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Erie were more dangerous than LOZ.
Bushbeater Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 While looking at the link to the MO. Water Patrol Reports that I posted I noticed an old friend involved in an incident. After a couple of phone calls I found he was night fishing the dam area early Sunday AM. Apparently a storm came up and while he was heading in, dealing with rain and wind he hit a breakwater. My point is that it can happen to anyone, even experienced and responsible boaters. Everybody stay safe out there and beware the idiots. Greasy B 1

WHARFRAT Posted July 25, 2017 Author Posted July 25, 2017 WOW! Just seems like every weekend, there's been a couple of reports. It's not going to get any better. @lozcrappie

Or the boat driver decided to cut in front of the pwc to throw a bigger wave and the timing was off. Be interested to know what went on. In my opinion there are too many people that own and/or operate boats that have no real idea what they are doing. skeeter 1
