I just moved to the area a couple years ago and have struggled on this lake. Could anyone give me some pointers on what area of the lake to fish? I live in the Walnut Grove area so Aldrich is where i usually put in. However, Greenfield isnt too far either and I would be willing to travel to find them. I want to try bottom bouncing or maybe trolling crank baits. I appreciate any advice you might be willing to give me. Thanks. Pay attention to Dan Hufferd and lmt out, they have their fingers on the walleye pulse. Probably wouldn't hurt to book an outing w/ Gary Stanton either. When fishing w/ grandkids I like bb w/ slow death cause they catch channel too, and kids just wanna catch fish Gary Stanton
slothman
I don't know anything about putting walleye in the boat, but I think I'm going to load up and head to Stockton tomorrow and give it a try. I have some bottom bouncers. I could try tome jigs with curly tails or crankbait too. I don't really know much about walleye, but we'll see what happens. But any 1/4 Jig will work just thread a night crawler on the hook and leave about an in hanging off. Drop to the bottom and lift about 3 inches and hold it still. A walleye will grab the jig and mouth it. Resist the urge to set the hook until you feel your rod start to load up then set it. 16 to 20 ft of water. On points or flats if you can find brush at this depth that is the ticket. Big Keene, mikeak, slothman and 1 other 3

I have caught walleye before, but never when targeting them specifically. Unfortunately, they were not quite big enough to keep: a 13", a 14", and one that was just a hair short. I also pulled in several bream and bluegill, a couple small bass, and a pretty big drum (I thought I really had something while fighting him). Two of the walleye and all of the other fish besides the drum came on the jig with worm pattern you suggested. The largest walleye and the drum came on a #7 blue tiger flicker shad being trolled. I am excited to get out there and try it again. I am fiercely craving a mess of walleye. Bass Yakker and Big Keene

Although these guys are so nice, they'll probably be sending you gps coordinates by PM.
