Dan the fisherman Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 After a few months of searching online I finally got a boat. It's a skeeter sx 220 with a Yamaha SHO 200. aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 WOW Awesome rig, congrats. Get you a top for it and you'll look like a law man Dan the fisherman 1
J-Doc Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 This beast needs a bimini with rod holders. Very curious how it rides. You'll have to show me one day. My advice on the break-in is to fill it up with gas and follow the manual to the letter. Then launch at PC, drive to the dam and back and then down to 412 bridge and back. That's what I did. I did all that in a day on one tank of gas and took breaks in between to let the motor cool down and have intermittent usage. I knocked out several hours in that one day's trip and fished a little along the way. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
J-Doc Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Oh and a rig that big, I'd get the 112lb trolling motor for sure without blinking. Not that you need the power (you kinda do) but it's so you can run at less power to drain batteries slower. The new Ultrex is supposed to be better than Terrova on spot lock. I would investigate that thoroughly before buying one. Otherwise I'd say try Motorguide because of having better spot lock capacity only. Not durability. Dan the fisherman 1 Need marine repair? M_Taylor Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Congrats! That should keep you dry in the roughest days in Beaver. And easier to clean out too. Dan the fisherman 1
Stump bumper Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 I just watched the video on the live wells, you will be a floating bait store ! Dan the fisherman 1
Dan the fisherman Posted September 9, 2017 Author Posted September 9, 2017 First test run off 2.2 hrs was AMAZING!! It was dry, super fast holeshot, stable, economical, took wakeboard waves with easy ( I may have waked them lol). So impressed with it so far. Getting 5 mpgs at 30, 4 at 40, and 3 at WOT

Ur welcome NE time on it. As far as electronics, I'm going with gen 2 helix DI up front with a ultrex and a helix gen 2 12 in the consul. This is really the best fishing boat I've ever bought. Like stated, economical, dry, stable, big deck for bass and duel live wells for bait when striper fishing. I'm just set I feel. Lance34 1
