Next weekend I will be fishing a college FLW qualifier out of prairie du chien Wisconsin.  I have never fished up north before and I am not sure what to expect.  If anyone has any expierence here I would love to know how the fishing usually is this time of year and what the water temp and river levels will be like. Feel free to DM me, thanks!

I think much depends of the water color/temp at the time you're fishing. If it's too murky, maybe find a tributary that's clearer. Sometimes rivers up there are shallow and wide and not much channelized. Find a spot that is a foot or two deeper than the  surrounding water. Spinnerbaits  are always a good choice for up there, they cover a lot of water.

That area is a fascinating bass fishing destination; I'd love to hear a report from you or from anyone who has ever fished it.
