When my neighbor fed his cows and I hunted the deer on their way there was I in violation? Nope. That is considered a farming practice and is perfectly legal. Now if you don't have live stock around, then I don't think there is an exact distance that makes it legal. Basically if the deer you are hunting are moving past to reach the baited area then you would not be legal. That is one of those grey areas that is left up to Mr. Green Jean's discretion.
tjm Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 I'll have to ask one of the agents sometime, I doubt it's enforceable unless the area or a distance is defined. All your neighbors could set up deer specific feeders and prevent you from legally hunting at all. Things I never thought about.

Pretty much up to the discretion of the agent. I doubt the initiative is there and I’d be the last stop based on bedding areas.

Seen a newb agent ticket 2 landowners with feeders against a property line just to prevent their neighbor from hunting his own property. A guy can never go wrong adding a food plot. Any advantage to draw deer to your area is better than sitting blind. I also plan on putting in atleast 2, 3 acre plots. BilletHead 1 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club.
