Lifes2Short Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Got on the water about 1130 and finished until 430, out of Mutton Creek. I was the only truck and trailer at the North ramp and I saw two other boats on the water today, water temps were right at 40. Spent the first hour trying to find the Crappie I was on last week with not even a nibble to be had. I switched over to bass fishing and the bite was on, I ended up with 13 bass and eight of those kept. I had one that went 6.5 and the photo below she was 4.14. All the fish came in about 100 yard stretch of bank on a channel swing on the main lake. I was fishing creature baits right on the bottom in about 18 to 22 feet. I’m sure this will be my last outing in 2017 with the temps taking a dive starting tomorrow. Tight Lines! This post has been promoted to an article Basfis, bassfisher, dan hufferd and 2 others 3 2
Members lundone Posted December 30, 2017 Members Posted December 30, 2017 Glad you got on the bass today. I and 3 others also took advantage of the beautiful weather and fished from about 10am to 4pm launching from the south Mutton ramp and we were the only boat on that ramp. We used minnows and jigs. Hit some brush piles in about 30 to 40'. Ended up with 4 keeper walleyes ( 17" to 19") and 12 keeper crappie all over 11". Had a great time but sometimes it was a good while between bites. Water was about 40 deg. Walleyedmike, dan hufferd, JTH and 1 other 4
