True "furled" leaders I don't like because they spin when you add tension.  You can't even strip a Clouser fast with them or it will come through the water like a corkscrew.   The hand twisted ones cast and roll over just as well and they don't twist, so I make and use those for everything.  Love them.  Even a sloppy one twisted up in a hurry performs flawlessly.

I have used Orvis Braided Leaders for years and love them. Bought some of the raw material and make my own for big water rigs. Can't duplicate the taper for smaller rigs.

I use furled leaders on my 4, 5, and 6 weight rods. On the 6 I have 2 different length streamer leaders with swivels. One for a floating line the other for a sink tip. I used a floating furled leader on my 4 weight last summer for dries and wouldn't fish anything else. I am using a 4 foot on the five this winter for indicator nymphing.

I'm with Wrench on this one even though I rarely use them except in the salt.
