netboy Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Caught this pretty 19" Bonneville this morning at the Ackerman access. Great to see them growing up. For those that might not know, Trout Unlimited planted Bonneville eggs in the Norfork and White rivers in an attempt to create a pure wild strain of these fish. They chose the Bonneville strain so it would be easier to identify and monitor their growth. The Bonnevilles have larger spots than the Snake River cutthroats that are stocked. I have caught only one snakeriver cutthroat and would love to add a Arkansas Bonneville to my life list. Of course recognizing that these fish are outside of their native ranges . BilletHead 1
