cheesemaster Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 I launched at 9:45 to clear skies and no wind. I thought it was going to be a slow day and it was. Water temp was 40.1. I started with some bottom junk that didn't work. So I went to a jerker and caught 2 shorts and 1 keeper. The keeper went 2.10lbs. The keeper had a lot of black on her, it was a beautiful fish!!! I took out at 3:30. Short report because of the lack of action. Here is the 1 keeper. The other side of this fish had way more black on it. m&m Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Cheese, nice fish. I hope the three fish were spaced out in time to keep the day interesting. Mike cheesemaster 1
Quillback Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Thanks for the report, sounds like the Rock is still fishing tough. I fished Beaver today near the dam and it was slow as well, 3 smallies and an LM. I'm not complaining however, beautiful day to be out. grizwilson and cheesemaster 2
176champion Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Thanks for the report Cheese!! More cold weather on the way. cheesemaster 1 I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Seems like your reports you always seem to get a good one. A 2lber right now from recent reports is great. We fished Upper Bull yesterday....7 hours and 3 only short bass, it kinda stung.
Longball22 Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 I fished from 9:00 to 1:00 today from KC to Point 9 today without a bite. Jerkbait, grub, and jig were all non-producers for me. I did see a significant number of shad floating, and lots more struggling 3-5 feet under the surface, so I'd say we are starting to see a legitimate shad kill. I probably saw in the hundreds today, but based on the number of shad I graphed today, there's still a more than healthy population. cheesemaster 1
