gurzik Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 On the water at 9:00 off around noon. WT was 40-42. Caught 7 with 4 keepers. Jerkbait did all the work. Make shift ramp is getting worse with people parking in front of it, and the ruts. But doesn’t seem like anything will change anytime soon. Seth Clarkson, patfish, Dirtrider389 and 5 others 8
Bass Yakker Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Dang! Some pretty plump ones right there!
gurzik Posted February 10, 2018 Author Posted February 10, 2018 Best day so far. Once the clouds filled in the bite quit. Bass Yakker 1

Lake Springfield has some real nice bass if you can get on them. I personally caught or saw someone else catch close to 25 over 3 lbs and a dozen close to 5 lbs or over the last year or so. Hoping I can find some big girls spawning in a couple months. gurzik and Bass Yakker 2

Did you have to make over exaggerated pauses? Also was towards James river east of 65 or west towards the bluff and main lake area?
Flysmallie Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Nice job gurzik! And yes that little lake has some nice fish. Bass Yakker 1
gurzik Posted February 12, 2018 Author Posted February 12, 2018 Seth, I would generally count anywhere from 5-10 on my pauses. All the bigger fish came from the bluff to the old train bridge. Never went as far as the 65 bridge. Thanks flysmallie, and yes theirs some true studs in that lake. Seth Clarkson and Bass Yakker 2
gurzik Posted February 13, 2018 Author Posted February 13, 2018 Just down from the boathouse. Little dirt and gravel spot by the trees. Have to be careful because the water is only about a foot deep there.

They are pigs or did you just fill them with shot ! Those babies have been eating well or are full of eggs. gurzik 1
