Nothing wrong with a red dot, makes it easier to get on target with older eyes.  If I was a turkey hunter I think I would just sit in my wife's deer stand and wait quietly, but they would be about 60 yards out and too far for me.  Think I will stick to morels and fishing.

a buddy uses a red dot & likes it.  may be easier to see the red dot lined up on the bird.  I dont use a red dot scope.  i did change out the front fiber optic pin on my 12 so I could see it better though.  I prefer a green pin.

as for using the blind & decoys, i say go for it.  might try to find some roosting in the week or 2 before season & set up near there.

Ok on the Blind I can't leave it set up because it is on Public Land and in Missouri you can't leave a Blind up overnight.

With my Turkey Choke I can cover the pattern with my hand at 40 yards. I'm thinking just go with Full.

You can leave the blind there. Just not up.  Only takes seconds to pop them up in the AM.    Thats a good choke at 40.

yeah thats a real good pattern at 40.  id take that.

I also do that with my blind.  if Im hunting a few days in a row i'll leave it out & set it up each day.  just easier when you only have to carry it in once.
