8 lber caught yesterday

Results from the MoBassFishin' Solo series tournament as reported on the Bassin Bob website.

Today Bobby Albert smashed 25.10 pounds of Lake of the Ozarks Bass anchored by a giant 8.10 pounder. Bobby fished from the 50mm and above and reported catching his monster bag on the spinner bait and jig. Second place was won by Bassing Bob member, John Vonahn. John also had second big bass, 5.70 pounds. John reported catching a lot of fish on some banks in the Gravois, he reported catching his fish on 6th sense stickbait. Wiggle wart crawdad (Original) and shad rap. Most anglers reported catching their fish on the stick bait, jig, A-rig and crank baits, mid way to the back of creeks on rock transition banks and secondary points.

25 is a good sack anytime.  Have seen a few 8s but none of the 9s I hear about this time of year - they are definitely in there.

That's a real impressive limit for sure. Especially so if that was caught on the upper end in dirtier & colder water. I believe that's the 2nd 8lb er weighed in a tourney this winter...

I myself find nothing wrong with dirty water. I think the dirty water poor fishing thing is more a part of your outlook and how it reflect your head.

Easier to fool if you know where to find em. Plug what's visibility like on your secondary?

Cloudy to dingy. With the high wind today is not going to be improving much. I know someone who was back in Cedar creek yesterday and it was not any better. I have a notion that clear water back in soap was influenced by incoming after down the creek

I like finding the clear water creeks feeding the backs and fishing the transition lines when the lake is dirty.

There wasn't anything "clear" about it when I was there.  It was settling some but there was only visability of about a foot, if that.

Same way with the Grand Glaise end. My youngest practicing for his HS T this coming weekend.

I feel for them, fishing is going to be VERY tough for most of the field.  Not sure why they scheduled that so early.
