Members Mottled Sculpin Posted March 12, 2018 Members Posted March 12, 2018 Considering putting in at Cane Bluff over the weekend and spending a few nights on the river. With current river levels is there enough water for a loaded to canoe. Not worried about a few drags but just don't to be pulling through every riffle. Thanks

Thanks I couldn't tell you about the river levels in that area but really like your profile photo. There are a few of us like myself and daughter that have a thing for catching sculpin!. Hope that you have a good float and get into some good fiahing.
jdmidwest Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Better check in with Brian Sloss. Not even sure if they have opened Cane Bluff back up since last years flood. Last I heard in the summer it was closed off, no river access. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
Gavin Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Not sure if Cane Bluff is open either. Water level is good so should be good from Greer on down. Was barely a trickle flowing on the river side when we camped at the Greer confluence in January. Would call Brian and ask.
Members Mottled Sculpin Posted March 13, 2018 Author Members Posted March 13, 2018 I spoke with the new owners at Eleven Point Canoe Rental and they didn't say anything about Cane Bluff being closed. What is the best way to get ahold of Brian Sloss now? Thanks

grizwilson Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 The level below Greer is excellent, there must have been a cave cave-in or sink collapse in the last rain event as Greer is spewing colored water, river is clear above Greer, but very colored below. “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
