We fished our annual company tourney on Sunday.  Talk about tough conditions!  Sleet, snow and pretty good wind made it a tough day for us.

We prefished Friday and Saturday and caught fish the entire time.  I did most of my damage on a Keitech 3.8 and a finesse worm.  I caught my 2 personal best on TR on back to back casts on Saturday.  Main lake point with the Keitech just reeling it as slow is I could. Both were over 5 lbs, and just as fat as I can rememer seeing. I promptly pulled the trolling motor and left the spot thinking I could come back and catch some more there on derby day. It seemed like every spot we pulled up on we would catch a few really quick and then we'd leave the area.  Our best five on Saturday would've gone around 17lbs.  Overall quality was good, probably 3 to 1 keepers to shorts.  I felt really good going into Sunday.

Sunday was a completely different story. Sleet, snow, and no sun really shut our fish down.  I was super proud of my wife for sticking it out with me all weekend through those conditions.  Saturday morning we had ice forming on the rods most of the morning.  She never complained, not once. She just kept on fishing.  She's definitely a keeper.

Thanks to all of you who post your reports and stories on here for others to digest.  It really helped me narrow things down quickly and capitalize on the short amount time we get to spend on your beautiful lake.

Till next time.

How many boats were in your tourney?  I fished AiA on Sunday with I think 97 boats and it felt like there were an insane amount of people from Indian Point all the way to Long Creek.  At one time we counted 16 boats in Jake's Branch.

Thats the same luck i have.  Sometimes prefishing hurts, as we "think" we got it figured out, then BAM mother natures says  "oh no you dont". Sounds like you married a keeper.
