96 CHAMP Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Been a long tine since I’ve been to Bull Shoals but the wife and I are thinking of coming down in July for a few days to show her more of the beautiful Tri-Lakes area. Any advice on staying at any of the resorts and what one would expect as far as fishing that time of year, been a Table Rock fan for many years, looking to get away from the crowd. Thanks for any advice
rps Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 One alternative is to stay in one of the resorts on the river below the dam, Gastons or Sportsmans. The lake is minutes away and the river is beautiful. Fish24/7 1
Ham Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 I don’t fish the lake that time of year. I gave zero idea on the fishing. There are cabins for rent near Protem, MO that I have used that were nice enough and that is near center of the lake. Places for rent all over really. Diamond City. Oakland area. Lakeview. Bull Shoals itself. Kinda hot and a lot of recreational boat traffic. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
techo Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 I have been eyeing Bull Shoals more and more lately. Every time I end up going back to Table Rock because I love her. Just crazy there with traffic. Tim Carpenter
96 CHAMP Posted May 14, 2018 Author Posted May 14, 2018 Techo, you saying bull or the rock is crazy with traffic?

Numerous cuts, points, creeks and coves within 5 miles of water. I am talking myself into going this year.

Royal Blue Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Not to speak for Techo, but I'm sure he meant Table Rock. I fish Bull a lot all year, but mostly way up by K-Dock. There are boats, but they're not lined up taking turns on every single cut and point like they sometimes are on the rock. techo 1
Ham Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 My guest noted that we were catching lots of fish in multiple areas with near solitude. techo 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
