Travis Swift Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 With the recent big brown catches and posts I have a question. Obviously the Triploids are doing great and growing big and fast! I believe Phil said they stocked them in 2012 for the first time. How many did they stock? Did and do they stock them every year and continue to do so? I can imagine what these fish will be like in 4 or 5 years. I wondered if there are more year classes of fish coming on or if they only stocked them for a couple of years or if they continue to do so? snagged in outlet 3 1
Trevor K Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 I don't know the answer to any of your questions, but I hope they keep stocking them. snagged in outlet 3 1

tjm Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 I meant to ask this before, why stock triploid trout? Don't they cost tons more money to hatch?
MoCarp Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 its the all female part of Triploid production, bigger fish faster https://www.alr-journal.org/articles/alr/abs/1991/01/alr91103/alr91103.html MONKEYS? what monkeys?
