Caught several Sunday on Bull with bloody tails and still very much spawning. All 3 species too. magicwormman 1

I was out with my dad both Saturday and Sunday morning. We caught about 12 each day, most of which were keepers. Stuck with a whopper plopper both mornings and it did well. I unfortunately don’t get to get out down there much as I am just down a few times a summer. Going to be down for the 4th of July holiday for several days in the same spot. Thanks again for all the advice and tips. The recommended spots worked out great.

I think I will be going down towards elbow, on the Arkansas line this weekend. What area did you fish and were any that you caught on beds that you were aware of?

I think there are fish in all 3 stages of the spawn. We had 10 smallmouth and some were pretty good size. I'd never seen that many small mouth that far up the lake. We caught a couple that were likely on beds. We'd throw our jigs up right on the bank and work them past the old bank line all the way to the boat. There are bluegills EVERYWHERE. I think that's what they're keying on pretty hard. I'd think any dark color jig with green pumpkin trailer would get bit aggressively. magicwormman, Seth Clarkson and Quillback 2 1
