This is my first post.  I just got back into fishing last summer after about a 20 year break.  I’ve been reading the forum trying to relearn.  I put in about 5:00 pm and fished to 11:00.  Fished mainly 30-40 ft with jig and worm. I caught two about 14 inches and a sunfish about 4 inches (does that count?).  Since I wasn’t getting much action I tried a craw and lipless crankbait.  I caught four on the crank with two keepers right on the bank.  I wasn’t expecting to catch any with the crank, but it was on the deck and nothing else was working.....

I think they come up to feed on the bank at night, more so when there is a moon.

I have caught several under areas of the bank that are well lit.

I know I am stating the obvious but maybe it will help.

I did not do well in the day. I was working for walleye most of the time.
