rps Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 I went out shortly after noon today. Before then it was chilly. I fished a HD jig with an HD craw. I fished a Rockstar in Red/Orange. I fished a Ned. I think a fish bumped the crank - maybe. Still, I loved being on the 64-65 temp water with next to no one there. You should go! dan hufferd, kdc, Patlock and 7 others 10
Quillback Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Fishing is tough, but I'll probably get out there this week just to get out and fish.
Members rngr188 Posted October 22, 2018 Members Posted October 22, 2018 Saturday and Sunday were horrible for me down in Long Creek. Had a guy on Sunday pull up right in front of me and pulled a 5#er on an A-rig. He was in the Joe Bass Tournament. I dont throw it maybe I should lol. Quillback 1
Members NebSchmidty Posted October 22, 2018 Members Posted October 22, 2018 Down around Indian Point was slow going yesterday as well. Marked a fair number on sonar, on and just inside main lake point in the 20' or so range... but only caught 1 barely keep and 2 shorts in almost 3 hours of morning fishing. Went back out for a few hours in the evening and got 5 shorts between the wife and I. Steeper chunk rock bank, off secondary point, farther back into the pocket than I initially expected. Might try a little further back today and see if that doesn't yield better results. All fish caught on ned - Canada craw in the am, dirt was best in the PM. Quillback 1

When it comes down to that I’d rather just play golf. Which I did yesterday! abkeenan and Champ188 2 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." You should go! i fished around eagle rock saturday. pretty windy in the afternoon. i found one small group of shad on a main channel break at 30 ft. deep. rolled the big wobbler through them and caught 4 shorts. the shad must have become invisible. sure did not see any up high or deep or even scattered groups. did not see hardly any fish suspended at any level either. kind of looked a lot like the mohave desert. bo

I should have pretended it was winter where you see that pattern and dropped a spoon.
