I took the guy across the street today.  We went white bass fishing.  He had not done this type of fishing.  I loaned him a setup and baits.   We started in Sons Creek, then we fished Greaser Creek.  It was tough going so we started making our way up the Big Sac.  We fished several places picking up a few here and there.  We fished all the way up to Turnback Creek and managed to catch 3 black bass two of which were keepers.  My neighbor caught the best of those with a smallie that was just under 3 pounds.

We hit some places where you could fish a quarter mile and only catch one or two whites.  We also hit a place here and there that had some decent amounts of fish.  Some of them we double and tripled.  Until they would give up no more bites.  We worked our way back toward Springfield Cove then headed back to the truck at Mutton Creek.  We wound up with 71 white bass for the day.  That ends fishing for me for a while as I am having surgery on my left hand and cortisone injections in my right Tuesday morning.  So good luck to those of you who get to enjoy the rest of the good fall fishing.

Sorry to hear you are "going under the knife".. But, I don't know any serious bass fisherperson , that has chased bass more than 10 that haven't had to be worked on.. I have had 3 operations and the son has had 4..

BEST OF LUCK FOR A SPEEDY RECOVERY !!!!!

Sounds like you finished strong.  Hope the surgery goes well, and you are back out soon.
