dan hufferd Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 I would like a pair of boot insulated boot waders, on the cheap (that's how I roll😁) I am only going to use them a few times year. I am 5'10" 165# 31" waist 33" inseam 43" around the chest. Most online waders seem really not my size. Guidance needed.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 Gotta try em on in my opinion. All of them fit different. dan hufferd 1

Even from the same manufacturer there will be different fits. I picked up a pair of Hodgeman Mackenzie at the Rogers Walmart about this time last year for ~$40. Nylon/PVC & cleated boots. I got these. only for winter bass wading and have only used them 20 times or so and so far so good- no insulation and to me the body is a snug fit and the legs are too long, but all the other brands are that way to some extent also. The brand Academy sells wouldn't let my high instep go through the ankle even when the boot was three sizes too big. I had that same problem with one at Cabela's also. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
wily Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 You're about same size as me...go to academy...buy Magellan neoprene boot foot..about 89 bucks...I wear 10 or 11 shoe...and they fit good...plenty tight in the chest...and they last a couple years easy. They wear out where the boot part connects eventually....plenty good for jump shooting ducks dan hufferd and Daryk Campbell Sr 1 1
tjm Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 Why would you want the chest to fit tight? I want my coat or vest inside the waders to keep it dry and make it easier to drop the waders. 13 minutes ago, wily said: plenty tight in the chest. A few of the waders I tied on had no chest room and I don't understand that.
wily Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 The chest on most of the cheap waders I have seen...is as big as a 55 gallon drum...I wear my jacket over the waders...but to each his own dan hufferd 1
kjackson Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 Since you're after a boot wader, shoe size is paramount...the rest of the fit is secondary, IMO. dan hufferd 1
