Of course this all depends on the body of water and the fish you are chasing. 

I probably use jerkers for trout more than bass fishing.  And that trout fishing is primarily at the tail waters so a long cast certainly helps.

We'll use them when we go white bass fishing.

Excellent thread and replies!! 

Great weather this weekend to get out and test the theories put forth, but like Snagged said everything is FULL and dirty around here.

Santa brought me some Megabass 110 jr's to try out :)
