Agreed!  I love spooning, but if I was restricted to only ONE technique I would have to go with Slow Death rigging.  There are tons of variants and they just can’t resist fresh meat in a death spiral.  My fav is a gold Mack’s blade and float held above a Trokar hook with a bead and bobber stop but we go with the flow and try to give them what they want.  If that day it’s a spoon I’m a happy fellow!

My PB came on a crawler harness, although not a slow death. 13.75 pounds. My other 10 pound fish came on a flat line troll of a Storm Thundershad. This last summer I had two limits jigging a spoon on channel breaks. For me, the spoons work best when the fish are deep and more schooled up.

Surprised to see Cherry Creek is such a good walleye lake, it is right on the outskirts of Denver.  Not much else close by, it has to get hammered.

I use to fish it a lot, my first 10 lb came from there. But you can hardly get on the lake on weekends

This is a great option, and very good when the fish want a subtle, slow presentation. I just don't do subtle well.
