oneshot Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 With the water flowing good I'm thinking I need at least 1oz. Weight to hold my line. Or should I wait until it goes back down? oneshot
jdmidwest Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 Fish have to eat and they are always wet and in current. Toss out a heavy bait and see what happens. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
Old plug Posted February 17, 2019 Posted February 17, 2019 i think it might depend on the design of the sinker as much as the weight. Flat ones will hold in the current a lot better. Other than split shot and worm weights all I use are Bell sinkers that I make myself. I make my own. I am surprised you do not do that. It is easy and will cost you a lot less over the long run..

fishinwrench Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 I don't wanna tell you how to fish, but I think you'd do alot better if you would just use a few split shot and fish the bait on a tight-line drift. That forked stick business you've got going on......Yeah you need to graduate from that. 😊

But then you just have to reel it back in and do it all over again. 🤔 ??? I can't dance like I used to.

Haven't ever caught a fish with Bait Floating. Was thinking going to the Lake use a Slip Bobber. I fish for eating fish and if it is floating all I catch is Trash Fish like Trout and Bass. I usually have three Poles and it wouldn't work. oneshot
