Whats up with Dai-Riki, why are they hard to get right now? Are the going out of business?

Better look again, Catalog don't have any and website only has #700 hooks.

What do you want? Have at least a thousand in the basement. Ask Craig or Eric at Hargrove’s and they  will order for you, supply a substitute. Both are great tiers. Their classes are well attended.12-14 a couple times a week.

There was a post on another forum about Dai-Riki last November that said basically that Dan Bailey had  been the importer and things there went out of round at DB and now there is no more Dai-Riki. True or not , I don't know or care i have enough Mustad hooks left to keep me going  for awhile and I like Eagle Claw for a lot of my wet flies.

I do notice not many supplies have more than 2-3 styles and limited sizes in those  https://www.tightlinesflyfishing.com/store/p285/Dai-Riki_710_Nymph%2C_1x_strong%2C_3x_long.html has one box of #6 left and 3 boxes of #2, most sites are discounting all DaiRiki stuff like it's close out so the rumor could be fact.
