Coming down this weekend and staying in niangua arm. Wondering what the water temp and how muddy it will be with the all the rain?  Do you all think it may be best to trailer up closer to the dam?

No need to fear dirty water.  Get out on the shallow flats and bang a red lipless crankbait on the stumps and brush. IMG_20170221_131218260~2.jpg

Aren't you tired of throwing a jerkbait yet?  😁

Very muddy up here by Tonka,  lots of flow too, as the river rose about 4 feet. I fished down close to the dam last Sunday, WT was 36 to 38 degrees.

Wrench, is that pic from this year? I thought the lipless bite didn't start till temps were at least over 45. How far off am I?

No that was from February last year.  We are a bit behind on weather this year.

Only takes a couple days around 60° though, and it'll be on. Those dirty water flats warm up quick.
