While I was on the lake this weekend, I was having an issue with my electronics.  I could only get the DI to read down to 60'.  I looked over the settings and it was on "Auto Depth"  My SI and 2d all worked fine.  Here is a pic.  Any assistance from Hummingbird guys would be fantastic.

I am having this exact same issue...Humminbird was no help.  The settings were no help, had latest software, even called humminbird while on the water to trouble shoot to no avail, they even sent a new transducer to me for free and still had same issues.  Did you figure this out?  I'd be really curious as to the solution.

Had the same issue with my 5si. There is a selection in the settings called “jigging mode.” Don’t know what it means but when I turned it on, my graphs started adjusting themselves automatically and reading at all depths. Now I just need to figure out why my down imaging won’t pick up all the trees my regular sonar will.

Got this from a guy on BBC Forum.  He is the humminbird guru in my opinion

That unit does not have Down Imaging, it has composite Down Imaging views created by blending the two SI pulses. If the SI range is less than the depth, you won't get bottom on the DI view.

Seemed to fix my problem

From the above I'm guessing your SI range was not set on auto.  True?

Thinking back now, I think you're that's right.  I think my SI was set on a certain distance.  BUT I'll never know....Bass Pro let me return it and I upgraded to the G3N Mega.  But that dang thing drove me crazy!  Hard to believe that 1/2 dozen calls I put into Humminbird no one offered up that solution.  Thanks for responding.
