Members Cterrill999 Posted July 5, 2019 Members Posted July 5, 2019 I am on Table Rock for the first time and have my handicapped nephew. He can’t stand but can hold a rod while I troll around. We are in the Eagle Rock area. Where can I go to help him catch a fish or two. We don’t care what species.
Members Brennan Posted July 6, 2019 Members Posted July 6, 2019 I don’t have any current information but in my experience you need to get out early (like 30 min before sunrise) to find the morning topwater deal. Watch for surfacing fish and toss a topwater or grub into them. Also have a ned rig handy for numbers of bites later on. Table rock can be pretty tough in the heat of the summer if you’re not familiar with the lake. If you really want to get your nephew on some fish, take a morning and go down to Taneycomo, stop in at Lilley’s Landing and have them get you set up to catch some trout. I don’t think you’d be disappointed with that decision. Best of luck. magicwormman and Daryk Campbell Sr 2

In the Eagle Rock area without driving anywhere try the following: Go out to the 86 bridge and drop crawlers to the bottom along the piers. If its over 35 feet raise it up in 5' increments till you get bit. You can also fish the hump that is right at the buoy just South of the bridge Go to the bottom and come up one crank usually lots of spotted bass there and I have caught dozens of walleye off of it. You can also go to the buoy directly across from the mouth of Roaring river. Fish along the edge of the flat for bluegill under 10' and fish out in the deeper water where it drops to 20 plus feet or so for spotted bass. Easy Peazy and you should get him some bites. Both locations have gills, walleye, catfish, and spotted bass. You can always catch a few on those locations and at times EARLY you can get rich. If you want till mid-day this time of year no matter where you go its tough. I try to start on the Rock in July and August no later than 6am and be done by no later than 9 am. rps Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 From the Eagle Rock ramp, look across to the the rocky bluff. Early in the day, 5 to 9 AM, slowly troll a fire tiger #9 Berkley FlickerMinnow with 150 feet out of 10# test line. That will put the bait at around 24 feet deep. The target is the edge of the flat where it rolls into the channel. That edge will be very close the that rock bluff. Trust me, the fish are on that edge. Bill's advice about the nightcrawler straight down will work as well. Good luck! If they are bass or small walleye, get them back in the water immediately. If you catch a legal walleye, teach your nephew how good fried fish can be. 🙂 Codywskeeter1521, crazy4fishin and magicwormman 3
