I've caught more walleyes this year than I have in the past, maybe because I've been focusing more on the Big sac arm, in the past I fished the little sac exclusively.

Last summer I only caught a few until mid July. Fall was such a wreck weather-wise that I didn't catch any then either.

Went after them again tonight. The walleyes weren't grouped together like they were. Caught one short and one keeper.

Also found 3 keeper crappie and the typical amount of drum.

Never have fished Stockton, but when the water comes way up and stays up, and doesn't really clear quickly, I found a pattern on Tablerock that tested out over three such events.

Fish shallower than you think you should, even in the heat. I would Lindy rig a nightcrawler and move the boat with the trolling motor at .5 mph along the edge of the flooded brush. I concentrated on points, humps and other bottom changes. I fished from dawn to about 9:30 AM. I caught fish in 8 to 15 feet of water  even in July.

BTW expect drum, catfish, and bass as well as bluegill. Bring lots of crawlers.

This might be totally luck, but it might help u walleye guys....

So fished the Friday nighter Friday we had the boat 25-30ft found a large Rock that  topped off in 11 ft guessing when the water is at pool it completely out of the water. I noticed a lot of fish on the graph that were suspended. So end up tying on a 6xd crankbait, threw it off and on a little bit with nothing but we turn back around and headed back toward the east so I remembered that rock picked the cranking stick up, and I made five cast and out of five cast I caught three keeper Walleye. Think I ended up catching seven walleye & 2 nice whites off that rock with another keeper eye  that came off when we went to net it. I never had that to happen before. But that crankbait had to hit that rock for those walleye to bite it, I threw them both sides The Rock making no contact and I never got a bite. When we got back to the ramp the live well they were in was full of shad they all spit up. Didnt end up with any keeper black bass off that spot. All walleye where caught after dark.

Don't know if any of that info can help you walleye guys but good luck! I kind of reminded me of that deal those guys that bass fish the ledges down at Kentucky Lake do.

Went after them again tonight. 1 keeper 3 short walleye, a few drum and a 2.5lb largemouth. 2 eyes on the jig and crawler, the other two pulling cranks.

Water temps still hovering around 85. Lake is down at least 3 feet from where it was.

Didn't stay late, around 8:15 it clouded over and the wind switched. I was wheels up soon after, didn't wanna deal with white caps after dark.

Limit tonight, all trolling. They were picky. Only hit one bait, in one spot, going one direction. Smallie was on jig and worm.

No big fish, just 16-18".

BOOM! Nice limit! Couple of questions. By trolling, are you talking crank baits, or bottom bouncing? Also, what kind of depths are you finding them in?

Crankbaits. 20ft, give or take. Main lake points primarily, ones with a gradual slope extending a long ways seem to be better.
