My lawn needed mowing but I wanted to wet a line so I made a quick trip to Cedar Ridge.   I had a very bad start.  I lost the first 6 fish on a spinner bait.   I switched to a buzz bait and caught 2 nice keepers.

I decided to try the bottom for a while and caught 1 keeper on a jig.  I changed spinner bait colors and got 3 more.  I ended up with 6 bass 4 of them were keepers.   The best fish was a smallie on the buzz bait.

Nicely done.  Did you  fish towards Turkey Creek? I was wondering if some of the timber out in the middle of the lake in that area had started showing. I know the timber around the island is visible, but there's some pretty good sized  trees that are scattered in the main lake and four or five that sit smack dab in the middle of Turkey Creek.

The reason you lost all those fish is because you shaved your beard.  It's like a brand new hat.  Bad luck until you break it in. Same principle must apply to shaving. 😁

I fished up to High Point.   The off shore stuff is still covered.

I hope it is a 1 trip phenomenon as i am going back tomorrow.  I had a new 2 d ducer and a MK heading sensor installed today.  They need to be calibrated and checked out.
