Stripers ??

Well I'm debating on heading farther south then my home lake of table Rock. Going to try my hand at some stripers. Fished norfork the last couple of trips and had a absolute blast. I've never been on beaver and looking to launch at the state park. Any tips or info would be much appreciated.  I found most of my fish on norfork on flats and was wondering if a similar pattern is expected. Not not an troller or a real big live bait guy. Love spooning and vertical fishing. Thanks guys and gals.

Don't know where the State Park launch is - down by the dam?  I don't follow the stripers once it gets hot, but spooning should work if you can find them.  They should be down in the lower end of the lake now.

Thanks quillback. Yeah it's by the dam. I was thinking Indian point it looks kinda fishy. Lol

When I fished stripers I
 fished the face of the dam in early Sept.

Anyone able to find shad? Or where are you getting your live bait?

I fished two days last week. Struggling both days. Found fish and had 3 hooked the first day and couldn't capitalize found them on a flat in front of the dam. The second day I only had one bite. But did watch a couple people catch some. I didn't fish with live bait I was spooning and think that was a major factor in my less then ideal success. But I definitely enjoyed my trips down there and I will be back to learn more.

That's not bad, you found them and got some bites which is tough to do this time of year.

Come back late October into November and they should be biting top water.  They are tougher to fool in the fall than they are in the spring for some reason, but I was able to catch a few last year tossing tail spinners at the boils.

Man, that's sounds like a absolute blast! I could only imagine those beast blasting a top water. I might have alittle addiction to these things. I'm having a hard time even chasing those bass anymore lol.

If you have ever seen a 58 Buick fall off a 100 foot bridge into the water--- then you know what to expect when they blow up on your top water lure !!!!
