Really not going to give any tips other than "they're biting good on minnows?" :)

I'm a bass fisherman with small boys, who really can't fish the way I do for bass. I would love to find said crappie on Stockton (with minnows, of course). So, where would I look? Feel free to send me a message. If you ever need bass advice for the lake, I'd be more than happy to share what I know.

I agree. Best fall crappie fishing I have experienced in several years. Most of what I have been catching has been black crappie with a few white crappie mixed in. I have also exclusively been catching them on jigs. They do seem to be biting in a range of depth for me from 2 feet to 20 feet. Very slow retrieve. I fish the big sac and Sons creek arms.

Brush- 18-21ft. Keep hitting brush piles until you find them.

You're sure right about that.

Went over to Cedar Ridge this afternoon. Think I hit 5 or 6 brush piles and only caught two crappie on one of them. Found a few more on bridge columns, but not much for keepers.

Kinda expected it to be tough with the sudden drop in temperature.

Wife had the day off yesterday and she wanted to go fishing. Just about fell down when she said that's what she wanted to do. So we went crappie fishing. Following others information, "thank you very much", I started hitting the brush piles over in the Little Sac arm. We had 16 keepers in about four hours on minnows. Depth was usually under 20 feet for the better bite for us. Really was a fun fishing trip. Caught enough to keep her interested. She gets bored with fishing easily. I know right!!!🙉 Anyway, we had to have a little picnic of course, and some minor sharing of feelings, but she is always great company, and the weather was just fantastic!!! Mike

Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???B)
