Macsimus Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Hey Guys, we're looking for a house to rent on or near the lake for March & April 2020. It's mostly just for the two of us and we are mature, retired folks with our party days in the far distant past. 😀 We've been renting a house in the Blue Eye area for the last 6 years but it looks as though that has fallen thru for next year. I've been scouring VRBO and AirBnB without much success and was just hoping maybe one of you might have a lead on a place. I bring a boat so I would need a place to park it with electrical access. I love to fish all over the lake and so have no wish to keep it in a marina. We would prefer the Blue Eye area. Thanks for any help you can offer. Daryk Campbell Sr Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Most of you dont know me personally, but I have fished with Macsimus for the OAF One Bass tournament a few times, and I will speak for his character. He is a stand up guy. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me) I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)
Macsimus Posted October 22, 2019 Author Posted October 22, 2019 Thank you, Daryk. "There was a time that I didn't fish, but I cannot remember it."
Members DeadCalm Posted October 22, 2019 Members Posted October 22, 2019 There are a few nightly rentals in the Branson Creek area where I live. Mostly duplex/triplex but a few single houses. Boat parking might be an issue unless it fits in the garage. It’s a beautiful area. Not sure about rates. Hope this helps.
Bill Babler Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Try Tall Pines Lots of houses and real nice with access out of Blue Eye magicwormman 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
AR Huzgr Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 I've stayed at the VRBO condo link below several times (called Vikery resort). Close to state Park area but has a dock at the condo itself. Really nice corner unit nice and quiet. https://t.vrbo.io/TfLSMFrO10
gitnby Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Why not check with some of the few remaining resorts on the lake? Schooner Creek, Lakeside, Hideaway, Double Oak, etc They might give you a decent price for a long-term rental, as I would guess they get more short-term stays in the Spring? They have slips you can keep your boat in, gas docks nearby, etc. Champ188 1
