Devan S. Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 have been using power pro 10/2 metered braid but seems I cannot find a source online anymore that has it in stock looks like I can get higher ratings 20, 30lb and bigger but cant find the 10lb. Is there any other metered braids someone would recommend?
moguy1973 Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 These places shows they have it in big spools https://www.meltontackle.com/powerpro-depth-hunter-multi-colored-braid.html https://www.anglerscenter.com/gamefishing-accessories/line-leader/powerpro-depth-hunter-multi-colored-braid/ -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
rps Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Power Pro 10/2 has been my go to for years. I believe they are no longer making it. If you can find a big spool, buy 1 or 2.
Dutch Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Call John at Fin and Feather in Springfield. He has been getting me Power Peo 8/1 for years.

After he took me walleye fishing and showed me how to troll with metered line , I searched high and low for the the stuff he uses, PowerPro 10/2. I ended up buying several large spools on ebay and on a Simmons webpage. You might try these two places again, but I think I bought all that was left in the free world. 😀 However, a few months back I was telling Jack at Extreme Outdoors about this and he and Kelly found a new product with similar if not exact specs. except the color changes are 30 yards instead of 25. They bought some for me to try. Short answer - look on the web for PowerPro or call Extreme and talk to Jack. Bobby
bobby b. Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Correction above feet not yrds. Also I looked on website suggested by Moguy and they show 10/2 there. Better get it while you can.

I thought I had found an online source....paid and then got told it was out of stock with no ETA to be in stock....which tells me something similar to Randy probably not being made anymore. Quickly cruised through ebay but didn't find anything. Was hoping maybe to find an alternate if possible. Have you used the stuff from Extreme yet?

I found the same thing when I tried to buy it on line - I'm thinking that these on line sources just haven't changed their web info - I believe the company just don't make the stuff anymore and what I bought and what you might find on the web is just left over stuff. I recommend googling Simmons - there is or was a gun dealer in the Kansas City area by this name but I don't think this is the same company. Yes, I did use the stuff from Extreme but could not find the empty box last night and it is OK - I drive by there daily and will stop soon to see if they still have and/or can get it and let you know.
bobby b. Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 I stopped by Extreme in Branson West this morning. The metered braid that I spoke of above is called Lure Pro Multi-color and comes in 10/2, 328 yds for $14.00 plus tax, S&H. They do not have it in stock but can get it and will ship to you. Call Jack at Extreme 417-272-0305 Daryk Campbell Sr 1
Devan S. Posted November 1, 2019 Author Posted November 1, 2019 Thanks. I called this morning and got some on order...will give it a try.
