Members Knot Sure Posted November 15, 2019 Members Posted November 15, 2019 Does the lifetime fishing permit include a trout permit. It seems like is should not, and I thought that it did not. If it does, is it scheduled to sunset or expire.
moguy1973 Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Nope. Says all additional licenses are not included. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Members Knot Sure Posted November 15, 2019 Author Members Posted November 15, 2019 Yes, This is where I am confused. The Lifetime Hunting and Fishing Permit says "NO". But it you go the next Item on the website, Lifetime Fishing Permit (Residents Only), It clearly states in the "Notes: This permit carries the same privileges as the Resident Fishing Permit AND the Trout Permit". The lifetime resident small game permit is consistent, in that, it also includes additional permit privileges that the "Conservation Partner" permit does not.
moguy1973 Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 I'm sorry, I guess I misread it as I was on my phone. Seems it does cover the trout permit. I believe trout stamps in the parks are still required. The part I read that wasn't included was turkey and deer hunting privileges. It definitely says Trout is included in the just fishing lifetime permit section. It doesn't say that in the Code though, the website is often half wrong and has notations that it is not official. https://www.sos.mo.gov/adrules/csr/current/3csr/3csr.asp https://www.sos.mo.gov/cmsimages/adrules/csr/current/3csr/3c10-5.pdf Quote 3 CSR 10-5.315 Resident Lifetime Fishing Permit PURPOSE: This rule establishes a resident lifetime fishing permit. fishinwrench Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 I ain't signing up for squat....FOR LIFE. I bought a lifetime membership in the NRA thirty-some years ago and now I'd love to change my mind. Can't do it.
Devan S. Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Out of curiosity.....what happens if you become a non-resident after buying the lifetime tag? Do you retain your privileges?

fishinwrench Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 What if you buy a lifetime permit, and then later your marriage goes to hell and you get a little behind on child support? After being divorced for 3 years my daughter moved in with me full time. CSE told me I could stop paying child support, but then about 6 months later MDC sends me a letter informing me that my hunting/fishing license was no longer valid because their records show my child support was in arrears. I was so freakin' pissed! I mean REALLY, they are keeping track of this crap? I actually had to beg my ex-wife to call CSE and request that they contact MDC to get my stupid fishing license restored. Took 4 months for MDC to send me a letter saying "ok you can fish now". Yeah right, Dickheads ! Seriously, where do they get off.....? At that point I started looking a little deeper into the $#!t they pull, and the bottom of the rabbit hole has yet to be discovered.
